Brit Paper: An armada of US and British naval power is massing in the Persian Gulf. PLUS the funny/sexy Boy Band Against Romney video

From The Telegraph of London:  Exercise starts today

Battleships, aircraft carriers, minesweepers and submarines from 25 nations are converging on the strategically important Strait of Hormuz in an unprecedented show of force as Israel and Iran move towards the brink of war.
Western leaders are convinced that Iran will retaliate to any attack by attempting to mine or blockade the shipping lane through which passes around 18 million barrels of oil every day, approximately 35 per cent of the world’s petroleum traded by sea.
A blockade would have a catastrophic effect on the fragile economies of Britain, Europe the United States and Japan, all of which rely heavily on oil and gas supplies from the Gulf.
The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most congested international waterways. It is only 21 miles wide at its narrowest point and is bordered by the Iranian coast to the north and the United Arab Emirates to the south.
In preparation for any pre-emptive or retaliatory action by Iran, warships from more than 25 countries, including the United States, Britain, France, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, will today begin an annual 12-day exercise.

3 US Carrier groups, subs, minsweepers, oh my. Read the rest of it from The Telegraph...and British comments....

And for those who read this post all the way to the bottom...if you dare watch.  Funny BOY BAND appeals to teen women for Obama, and the few undecided gays.

Israeli leader out selling on US Sunday talk shows

Netanyahu said that Romney's accusation about Obama having essentially abandoning Israel on the world stage was "simply not the case and simply not my position."  But Netty goes on all the Sunday Talk Shows to pressure Obama into stronger talk...deadlines be put on Iran's Nuclear program.

Another View...Netanyahu meddles in US election while claiming he isn't.  Report:  Romney easier to control.
More on this alternative report about Netty trying to draw the US into a war to help Israel with Iran (With NBC video) From site: Class Warfare Exists.

Yet another view.  The uglier accusations of Israelis and Palestinians.  Maybe more history why Arabs are pissed off all the time about using the US to do their bidding.  Check the author...and then read the conflicting comments!  This is NOT the Israeli point of view we usually hear!   Link to Facebook, assuming you have an account (which you SHOULD!)

So Is the US Going to Kill Even More Muslims Now, in Revenge for Losing an Ambassador?

That's America's habit.
Think piece... a reminder of our strategy with terrorists and what to do now....

The murderous attacks against Americans in Benghazi, Libya were a response to the US killing of Abu Yahya al-Libi, al-Qaeda's #2.

Paul Ryan says we were attacked because we don't have strong enough "resolve and purpose."     Apparently, he feels the systematic and effective killing of al-Qaeda leaders is not in our best interest because there will be reprisals.

(Translation: Republicans will say anything to get elected. Including not talking about 9-11 under Bush's watch or attacking Iraq, the wrong country!   And the economy?   Shhhhhhh.)

Suspected Filmmaker who stirred up protests across Arab world questioned by authorities in California.   Turns out he's an ex-con Christian Egyptian, not an Israeli.    More, including video on elusive man from NBC....

(H) Anti-Islam minister feels no responsibility for US ambassador’s death

Anti-Islam Florida minister Terry Jones’ association with a film critical of the Prophet Muhammad put him in the firestorm of uprising in Libya and Egypt that resulted in the death of U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens in Benghazi.

Who ARE we humans in the scheme of things?  A Facebook observation.

The Hubble Space Telescope captured these countless stars blazing in the heart of the globular cluster M4.

  • There isn't enough space in this universe for me and a President Romney.

  • Gavin Hull Radioman, you know I'm with you, and some will laugh at this coming from me, but not EVERYthing is political!

  • Radioman KansaSitty I know. But it's pretty political for the next couple months because who gets elected and with what Congressional majorities, will affect space photographs and the program itself, the cost of internet in your own household, how long you'll be able to afford it when you retire, and so much more. Never seen so much action on one presidential election, and I've been watching since JFK. Each said theirs was a critical election, but we knew better. Some were, some weren't. THIS one, tho... well that's a different story. This one affects your future ability to maintain your standard of living.

SO... what's the point of having a Hubble Telescope but to look at the universe around us and figure it out as best we can, WHERE WE FIT IN THE SCHEME OF THINGS?  Its not about a pretty picture of the cosmos. We have to try to provide CONTEXT about who we are, related to that new photograph of our universe.
    More esoteric....

Hard to believe, we're such a tiny place in the scheme of things, ain't it? Don't ya wish politicians and religious zealots trying to tell us what to do would notice that as well? Maybe they wouldn't take themselves so seriously and decide that their religious and political doctrines aren't as important as treating our fellow Earth inhabitants better.

When actually looking at the size of the universe, realizing it's well beyond the 3000 year old concepts of Heaven just out of sight, and Earth, all we've ever known.... does that make us MORE religious or LESS?

Doesn't it seem absurd, looking at a picture like this, to think that our "GOD" has time to direct our individual lives and tell us what to do, what jobs to take, who to date on the internet, etc etc? And it's as if our religions were invented the DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY in terms of the age of the universe we see pictured in terms of light years arriving just now for our telescope?

I am struck by our naive arrogance as a species! And the phenomenon that when we're born, it's with a completely blank slate....we are not the sum of our history...we have to start over, every one of us! My grandbaby's only able to turn over after 3 months. How much he will have to learn at home and in public schools, and even with the internet's wonders, like you just published!!

It's hard enough trying to keep up and I work at it. Only scratching the surface. Imagine all of those who don't at all KNOW what they don't KNOW!

Just 4 years ago, Republicans wanted to elect this moron woman as Vice President!  Yup, that was a real close one!    Be sure to vote this time too because they're trying it again.

Protest in Spain this week against that government's bare bones AUSTERITY program.

We'll be seeing protests from out-of-work Americans if the Republicans win in November.
They have pledged to bring heavy budget cuts to OUR country (called 'austerity')  that include cuts in safety-net programs to help people in tough times.  But they want more tax-cuts for their billionaire campaign donors!  And changing health care and Medicare.    And that would piss people off, especially if they foolishly voted for Republicans Romney and Congressmen.
In this campaign, Romney and Friends have been very cagey about talking specifics of what they plan to do, if they win.  They know they can't, because it would assure they'd LOSE!   Make sure you watch the debates on TV.

Media Monopoly.  One of the big ones is Clear Channel Communications.... and one of their heavy investors is Mitt Romney's Bain Capital.

The Boy band Video trashing Romney.  The best for those who read all the way to the bottom. 2million hits so far

I just got a check for over $500.

Sometimes people don't believe me when I tell them about how much money you can make by taking paid surveys online...

So I took a video of myself getting paid $500 for doing paid surveys to set the record straight once and for all.
