GOP Candidates debate on Fox Thursday night.

Republican candidates Spar on Fox debate
Newt Gingrich jumped FOX's Chris Wallace for asking a series of 'gotcha' questions rather than ask content questions.  He made sense when he talked, imho.  Tim Pawlenty and Michele Bachmann held a catfight--going after each other's records.  Suffered some damage.

Front runner Mitt Romney basically looked good and stayed above the fray.  Rick Santorum pleaded that he was being ignored.  Ron Paul pressed hard to get out of America's multiple wars to mixed applause and the dark candidate.  All candidates raised their hands to the question that they would NOT raise taxes, even if it was coupled with ten times as many budget cuts.   Not there was Texas Governor Rick Perry who has leaked that he will announce his candidacy Saturday. The Iowa Caucus straw poll is Saturday.

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer filed an appeal Wednesday with the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn a ruling that put on hold key parts of the state's immigration enforcement law.

The appeal comes as Brewer faced a deadline for contesting a district court's decision that, among other things, barred police from enforcing a requirement that police while enforcing other laws to question the immigration status of those they suspect are in the country illegally.

Brewer lost her first appeal in April when a three-judge panel of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals rejected her request to overturn the decision. The nation's highest court has discretion on whether to hear her appeal.

Supercommittee appointments
Speaker John Boehner has appointed Ways and Means Chairman Dave Camp (R-Mich.), Energy and Commerce Chairman Fred Upton (R-Mich.) and Republican Conference Chairman Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas) as the House GOP members of the deficit reduction "super committee." Hensarling will be co-chairman of the committee. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell also announced Wednesday the Senate Republican members: Jon Kyl of Arizona, Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania and Rob Portman of Ohio.

On Tuesday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid announced the Senate Democratic members of the committee: Patty Murray of Washington, John Kerry of Massachusetts and Max Baucus of Montana. Murray will be the other co-chair.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has yet to name the House Democratic members of the committee.

After being married for thirty years, a wife asked her husband to describe her.

He looked at her slowly...then said, "You're A, B, C, D, E, F, G,
H. . . .   I, J, K."

She asks, "What does that mean?"

He said, "Adorable, Beautiful, Cute, Delightful, Elegant, Foxy,
Gorgeous, Hot."

She smiled happily and said, "Oh, that's so lovely. . . but what
about I, J, K?"

He said, "I'm Just Kidding!"

His eye is still swollen.... but it will get better.

If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Delta Airlines one year ago, you would have $49.00 today! If you purchased $1,000 of shares in AIG, you would have $33.00.
If you purchased $1,000 of shares in Lehman Brothers, you would have $0.00 today.
But, if you purchased $1,000 worth of beer, drank all the beer, turned in the aluminum cans for recycling, you would have $214.00.
Therefore the best current investment plan is to drink heavily & recycle. It is called the 401-Keg Plan
