Texas Going After TSA again for Junk Touching - Skipwaves ending 6/5/11

Texas lawmakers may reconsider a bill to outlaw controversial airport pat-downs, the sponsor of legislation that was shelved recently said this week.

A Texas state Rep says that the Lt. Gov. asked Gov. Rick Perry to include the measure in a special session of the Texas legislature. Earlier, the governor asked lawmakers to withdraw the bill when federal officials threatened to cancel flights to Texas if it passed.

But he has since had a change of heart, according to the state rep.  This law would make it a misdemeanor for TSA agents would have been to pat down travelers who did not have probable cause for suspicion. The penalty would be a $4,000 fine and one year in jail.

If it is approved, it would be the first state law restricting TSA's security techniques.

Video: Demonstrators stage airport scene to  protest TSA groping and TSA hates scenes!!  Argument over What can be filmed...TSA claiming its against the law but can't cite it.  (Because it doesn't exist.)

This is starting to look like that scene in Libya where security quieted a woman for complaining she'd been raped.  Police everywhere don't much like bad publicity and they'll cite non-existent laws to stop it!

Speaking of the Libyan woman, alleged rape victim Eman al-Obeidy has left Libya and is on the way to Malta with her father, according to a high-level U.S. State Department source. Al-Obeidy will eventually head to a processing center in Europe before leaving for a final destination.

Two KC area priests in big trouble with the law and the Diocese for not keeping their hands off of little kids.  One with Kiddie Pron, the other, wandering hands.  Bishop Finn's being sued for inaction.

Sunday Bishop Finn writes a letter to the Diocese' worshippers, apologizing for the arrest of one and removal of another, saying he is responsible and more needs to be done (which is unfortunate.)

TV business reporters are freaking with the Friday report that only 54,000 private corporation jobs were created last month and unemployment went up to 9.1 percent... not counting those who have quit looking or took low paying jobs just to eat.-

Fear is the Stock Market will freak on speculation that we're headed for a dreaded double dip recession. Economists blame a complicated web of factors.

First, the recovery is losing its government-provided training wheels. The Federal Reserve's $600 billion in monetary stimulus is scheduled to run out later this month, and federal stimulus dollars to state and local governments have already wound down.

Policymakers had hoped those efforts would put the economy on firmer footing, but they also didn't anticipate the blow from rising oil prices earlier this year, the earthquake in Japan and severe weather including flooding and tornadoes in the South. (From CNN)

China dumping some of our debt...especially most of their US T-Bills!  Oh My!  Doesn't sound like much faith in Congress' ability to pay its debts!  It would appear the PARTY OF NO is willing to crash the economy to assure O'bama is just a 1 term president!   Taking us to the edge of the cliff, Speaker BONER, is RECKLESS just for political reasons!!   China doesn't want to play this game of guts you do.   IF you LOSE, and kill our economy, the GOP will never again see the light of day!
