No longer news that he died... but I'd only comment that the boomer generation did grow up listening to the guy; voice of reason, old fashioned morality. Sadly today's radio has no one like this.
Every broadcaster learned how to pause for effect from this man, the dean of radio commentary. . . . . . . Good-DAY!
