Takes time to get Purple KoolAid out of a white winger's system

They've been drinking Jonestown Premium served up from Rush and Sean for so long, they need to go to rehab and dry out...get rid of the shakes, the paranoia, the bad attitudes and the lies.

Fact is, those who have had closed minds for so long (like dittohead Dee) will take longer to dry out than most. They're hard core rightaholics.

Little Black Sambo isn't taking over the White House. Neither is Osama bin Laden. Who knows, given that you're not a wealthy capitalist, you may end up four years from now actually GRATEFUL for better, transferable health care.... breathing cleaner air and having a stable retirement account.

And with luck, this administration can lead to cleaning up the unfettered, unregulated banking industry. Just don't expect Rush to talk reason. Rush and Reason in the same sentence would be an oxymoron. They won't be helpful in what challenges the US has ahead of us. He serves KoolAid and nothing else! He does it for ratings!

What this administration DOES need is American patriots of all stripes to be of good will. Fine that the koolaid drinkers will take some time to get used to this...but there'll be a time when the rest of us will just label you Tories.

Forget liberal and conservative. Conservatives are capitalists...and 'liberals' are, pretty much, everybody else. You just need to decide where you stand. If you wonder, just look at your checking account and count the zeros on your balance! The more zeroes after your balance, the more Republican you should be! And whether you want to get ON the train, get OFF the train, or GET RUN OVER by the train.

Reagan Conservatism is dead. 700 billion dollars worth of corporate bailout has put THAT one to bed and even the Republicans are swallowing hard for their hand in pressing for deregulation of US finance!

Compassionate Conservatism or Conservatism with Heart have been nothing more than slogans. Including 'no child left behind'. Republicans were never into equality. Everyone knew that too. It's all about the owner class and the worker class. Been that way since the first English showed up in the Virginia colony in 1620!!

Now we need to fix our country. My family physician today told me no one has any idea how many people in KC have lost their jobs this summer but it's startling. This was a republican creation--created because of a lack of needed regulation. I agree too that less regulation is good. But the problem is that Republicans are such true believers in capitalism, they don't get it that unregulated greed actually CAN destroy an economy.

Smart Americans will realize that we need both. FREE ENTERPRISE and OVERSITE REGULATION... A MIX of the two. Getting the right mix for healthy growth and the good life takes COMPROMISE... not digging in one's heels. This is no time for the two political parties to keep playing STUBBORN! Congressmen who have too much political orthodoxy need to be voted out.

Yup we just had an election...but no matter which party, if you think your guy is digging in his heels at the expense of the nation's welfare, write him and tell him to get smart or plan for his private profession two years from now!

It will be good when the die hard Republicans, so used to big mouth radio talk theatrics just STFU, and spent the next four years redefining themselves in private. You need to get together and figure out who you represent, or you'll end up representing NO ONE.

Yes. You need to spend 2-4 years in the CORNER, contemplating your sins and fixing them.

We do need at least a two party system...but you need to do some serious self-introspection, and I don't just mean repackaging the propaganda. Do it right and you'll win me back.

I came to the conclusion that Republicans haven't been fit to govern since Nixon's dirty tricks campaign, actually, but especially when they tried to overthrow Clinton's legally elected regime while arab men were learning how to fly jetliners into buildings! That was unforgivable, especially when the GOP had the audacity to take ownership of national defense as their own virtue! What a sham! Fact is, chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee Pat Roberts (yes, R-KS) at that time should have been executed for not having done his job. Were he serving in China, he'd be dead now!

But the US government cleverly managed to explain away 9-11 without blaming a SINGLE GOVERNMENT INDIVIDUAL! What a country!


Do not suggest that you will treat Obama the way America treated Bush the Younger. There's no comparison. Even Republicans realize they were hoodwinked by that guy. We all need to do better...and in 2 months, lets build a country together.

If you want to keep whining, then you'll be left behind and you might as well call yourselves libertarians. You'll not have any power, ever again. Republicans have a lot to contribute but the first thing they need to realize is that they lost the election because America didn't like what they were serving up. And it was served by Karl Rove and the same people that screwed McCain eight years ago.

McCain lost his way...too bad. Had Rove not been ghostwriting this campaign like he did 8 years ago to defeat McCain for Bush, John might have had my vote. But for the third presidential cycle in a row, the GOP blew it. Hopefully, Obama will help us recover as a nation. He'll either do it WITH you, or DESPITE YOU.

Figure out if you're an American or just a Republican who fought and LOST the war of the lost cause!
